About Our Program THSH offers several different programs and services designed to meet our clients' individual needs. Specialty programs include beginner lessons on lesson horses, starting young horses, creating trail-safe horses, and preparing horses for the show ring. Our beginner program is designed to make kids feel comfortable with horses. We teach them a variety of skills that are needed to care for horses, and offer basic riding instruction and safety training. We start our young horses slowly and aim to develop a nice all-around safe and friendly horse that is well matched with the rider. Horses in training will be worked five times each week. This can be broken down into five rides, four rides and one lesson, or three rides and two lessons. The goal of our show program is to create competitive horse and rider teams. We train horses in a variety of disciplines, while always maintaining the basis of developing the all-around horse. Some of the classes we prepare horses for include: Halter, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Western Riding, and Trail. We would love to help you create your next champion and make your dreams come true; whether it is for circuit shows, open shows, or 4-H. Boarding Limited boarding opportunities are available. Boarded horses are given the same wonderful individual care as the training horses. Each horse will be turned out on weather permitting days or as desired by the owner. Horses are fed high quality grain and hay twice daily. Stalls are cleaned daily. Other services that we provide include:
